The company believes that biometrics if used will help ensure fairness and safety in food distribution and vaccinations.

NEC envisions a mechanism for international organizations to order the system and use it locally. Morita also mentioned fingerprint recognition for children as NEC's own technology, saying, "We can contribute to a wide range of fields. I hope we can promote it commercially." NEC will explore a formal launch in conjunction with ongoing empirical trials.
